HACCP Food Safety Management System

Codex HACCP is a document that contains the core principles that a Food Safety Management System must comply with to ensure it identifies all factors that may negatively affect the safety of Food products directly or indirectly, either by physical, chemical or (micro)biological contamination.

Once identified, the organisation needs to assess the risk and determine Critical Control Points to ensure threads to Food Safety are pro-actively identified before any harm is done.

A Food Safety certification such as HACCP is increasingly a pre-requisite to operate a business, not only in the Food Industry itself, but also for organisations that are suppliers to the Food Industry such as transport companies, suppliers of packaging materials, food processing/ packaging equipment, warehousing and storage, pest control, etc.
